Susan Hook and Martha McCallum have been best friends for over 50 years, and have been there for each other through all of life’s highs and lows. The two decided to “go in on a Canadian Lottery ticket and soon discovered they were now $2 million dollars richer after matching all six numbers on their ticket from the August 17, 2019 draw. Martha says she was actually on her coffee break at her work when she decided to check the numbers. It didn't hit her right away either as she just went back to work and figured she would sort it all out later. What she figured out was that she and her best friend were now millionaires. Interesting enough, the best friends are widows, and the life-changing win came on the anniversary of Martha's husband passing. The two friends plan to still live together and are excited about what this win will bring to their lives. They are expected to fulfill lifelong travel dreams and to make their lives “comfortable, but not flashy”.
