Sean Connery's "James Bond" Sports Car Sells For $2.4 Million

(Monterey, CA) -- Sean Connery's "James Bond" car bought in a whopping two-point-four-millions dollars at auction last week. The silver 1964 Aston Martin DB5 was driven in the 1960s James Bond films when Connery played the famous secret agent. The cars used in the films came complete with gadgets like machine guns and an ejector seat. The one Connery purchased for himself in 2018 was standard issue. Auction company Broad Arrow expected it to bring in between one-point-four and one-point-eight-million, so the final price tag came as a bit of a surprise when the unnamed buyer walked away with the winning bid. DB5s directly connected to the James Bond films have sold for much more. A gadget-filled model brought in six-point-four-million in 2019.
