When you head to the park on a hot day to cool off at the fountain, you’re not expecting an alligator, much less one being walked by a young girl on a leash. Video and pictures taken on Friday in Philadelphia’s Love Park show the gator trailing behind the child and then laying in a puddle to cool off.

The alligator is named Wally, and his owner says he’s a federally registered emotional support animal. Wally was friendly with the people at the park, and let strangers pet him. His owner, Joie Henney, says that alligators are easier to train than dogs.
