People's Choice Country Music Awards Picks A Date

There's a new awards show in town. At the time, we only knew that it would be a spinoff of "The People's Choice Awards," and it would be on NBC and Peacock in September. Now we have a few more details.

The first-ever "People’s Choice Country Awards" will air September 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT across NBC and Peacock, live from the Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville. The two-hour telecast will give NBC a country awards show to compete with the CMA Awards (ABC); the CMT Music Awards (CBS); and the ACM Awards, which have streamed on Prime Video since 2022.

As the show’s name states, the winners will be chosen entirely by the fans, though several honorary awards will also be given out. The People’s Choice Country Awards will extend to social platforms with All-Access Live bringing fans behind the scenes as well as connecting country’s biggest stars with their fans.
