A huge load of cocaine has been found floating in the water off the coast of Sicily. Sicilian police released a statement Monday saying authorities seized nearly two tons of drugs that were sealed in 70 waterproof floating packages. The street value of the load is around $440 million.
So, why was this stuff floating in the sea anyway? Authorities think the packages were left by a passing cargo ship so traffickers could grab them and bring them ashore. Looks like they’re outta luck…and drugs.
