Thief Steals Car, Registers It Nearby

Surveillance footage from the Sarasota Classic Car Museum in Florida busted someone on camera for taking a 1977 Porsche 911 Turbo which was valued at $250,000. The suspect, Daniel Boyce, was originally arrested for failing to appear for a grand theft auto charge, but he can now add a felony fraud charge after taking said 911 to be registered in the same neighborhood… not exactly a genius move. A search warrant of the suspect’s phone revealed a photo of a brown Porsche identical to the stolen 1977 Porsche 911 Turbo. Another photo showed a storage unit code and unit number and lo and behold, that’s where the car was found. The investigation continues while Boyce awaits arraignment in September.
