What People Watched Most On Netflix The First Half Of 2023

For years Netflix kept ratings and views under wraps, but that’s all changing. They’ve announced that they’ll be releasing a “What We Watched” report twice a year that will reveal what people have watched during a six month period.

  • The reports will also include the total number of hours viewed for shows and movies that are watched more than 50-thousand hours, as well as the premiere date and whether the title was available globally.
  • The streaming service just released the first of the “What We Watched” reports, sharing what the most watched titles were from January to June 2023.
  • According to Netflix, the report covers over 18-thousand titles “representing 99% of all viewing on Netflix and nearly 100-billion hours viewed.”

So, what was everyone watching during the first six months of this year? Here’s the top 10:

  1. "The Night Agent" Season One (812-million, 100-thousand hours viewed)
  2. "Ginny & Georgia" Season Two (665-million, 100-thousand hours)
  3. "The Glory" Season One (622-million, 800-thousand hours)
  4. "Wednesday" Season One (507-million, 700-thousand hours)
  5. "Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story" (503-million hours)
  6. "You" Season Four (440-million, 600-thousand hours)
  7. "La Reina del Sur" Season Three (429-million, 600-thousand hours without global distribution)
  8. "Outer Banks" Season Three (402-million, 500-thousand hours)
  9. "Ginny & Georgia Season One (302-million, 100-thousand hours)
  10. "Fubar" Season One (266-million, 200-thousand hours)
